About the Designer

Stephanie Clarke is the owner and designer of Chloe Clarke, The Art of Paper as well as Dahlia Press, a letterpress stationery studio based in Seattle Washington. Dahlia Press began in 2008 when Stephanie left the corporate world to pursue her passion of designing unique and creative custom invitations. In 2014, she expanded her line to include letterpress greetings and social stationery available to the wholesale market. At the same time, she opened her first brick and mortar location.

Dahlia Press has been featured in publications such as Domino Magazine, The Knot, and The New York Times. Currently Dahlia Press greeting cards can be found in boutique retailers nationwide, as well as global brands such as Urban Outfitters, Paper Source, and Anthropologie.

In 2019, Stephanie transitioned her Invitation studio to the name Chloe Clarke, a combination of beloved familial names.

In addition to her stationery company, Stephanie is an accomplished commercial designer. With over 15 years of design experience, she has an extensive portfolio of impactful visual identities, logo strategies, interior store environment designs, brand websites and digital content for several top companies, including Starbucks, Coach, and Marmot among others. Stephanie holds degrees in both Art History & Design. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring Seattle with her husband Chris and Whoodle (Wheaten Terrier mix) Puppy, Nova.

Who is Chloe?

A common question we receive in the studio, is “Who is Chloe”? A devoted companion for 13 years, Chloe was Stephanie’s beloved Wheaten Terrier, who worked every day in the Dahlia Press studio until her last. To keep her spirit alive, when Stephanie created a second brand to focus on her wedding invitations, she named the studio after Chloe. Chloe came to Stephanie as a rescue at age 3 and lived to see her 16th birthday celebration in the studio. In Chloe’s honor, a portion of all Chloe Clarke sales go to the ASPCA, an organization dedicated to the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans. Although Chloe can not be with us during your invitation consultation, studio pup Nova will happily great you upon arrival.

"
Stephanie was so easy to work with, even from the other side of the country. She was able to take my vision and create a beautiful paper suite that exceeded my expectations. When I opened that package with my wedding invitations, it was like Christmas morning!
